Sina began studying nutrition in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison because of her love for science classes, food and medicine. She spent her junior year abroad in Florence, Italy where she fell in love with Mediterranean food, wine and gardening. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 2006.
After graduation, Sina moved to the Twin Cities to complete her dietetic internship at the UMMC-Fairview. She has since worked at Regions Hospital, a level one trauma hospital, and The Emily Program, an eating disorder clinic. She recently moved back to the Milwaukee area.
Sina is also a certified specialist in oncology. She’s led cooking classes to groups of 10-180 people, presented nutrition segments on Twin Cities Live and has given live demonstrations on Minneapolis news stations. She has helped out with nutrition publications for HealthPartners, presented nutrition talks to nurses, doctors, dietitians and speech therapists, and works with students interested in becoming dietitians. In addition, she has represented organizations as their media spokesperson.
